April 2020 Lockdown Favourites

Hello and Welcome Back! Now it goes without saying that we are in a strange and scary time so it is even more important to find joy in the little things. It seems like the perfect time to share my lockdown favourites. As I was furloughed for a month I had been spending a lot more time at home so have really had the time to go back to the home comforts. So lets get started!

Yankee Candle in Vanilla Lime

I always find lighting a candle really helps to make home just feel that bit more cosier. This candles scent is the perfect balance of sweetness from the vanilla and the sourness from the lime. It is also a lovely green colour.

The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Mask

I love this mask for cleansing my skin and in turn reduce my break outs. It also gently exfoliates your skin as you wash it off leaving your skin glowing. As it can be a little drying I like to pair this mask with my next favourite.

No7 Instant Results Nourishing Hydration Mask

This mask helps to balance out my skin after a cleansing mask. You can see from what is left how much I like this mask! I apply it and leave it on for 15 minutes before wiping my face off with a flannel. It leaves my skin feeling silky soft without leaving a greasy film.

Nizarol Shampoo

Now this isn’t a glamorous product I’ll admit but this month my scalp suddenly got very inflamed dry and itchy. I decided I would try this product before going to the doctors. I was reluctant to purchase it at first as it is £6 for just 60 ml however I am so glad I did. It made a dramatic improvement in just one wash. It got rid of my dandruff (attractive I told you!) and the intense itching.

Garnier Ultimate Blends Hair Food

Both the Banana & Shea and Coconut & Macadamia leaves you hair feeling hydrated and nourished. I prefer the Coconut & Macadamia simply because the smell of banana can make me feel a bit nauseous! I think that is just me though! I use this as a hair mask once a week and I also use it as a leave in conditioner.

Fairy Lights Bottle

I brought a few from a Depop seller called @judegreene. This one is my favourite but they all bring a cute decor and a warm glow to any room.

Tesco Sweet Strawberries

I’ve been trying to eat healthier during this lock down and it is so much easier with these strawberries. As the name would suggest they are so much sweeter than normal strawberries!

Bee cushion

As my boyfriend and I have moved into a new home I have been trying to make it more cosy and homely. To me that means cushions!! My favourite have to be these bee cushions. As my blog design suggests I love bees.

In the last few month have really got into buying second hand. Before the lock down as I was regularly going to charity shops and now I obviously can t I have fallen down the depop rabbit whole. I brought alot of home decor from there and not only do I love the home decor I enjoy supporting local busniesses.

Snag tights and chub rub shorts!

Snag is a small company who preach body inclusivity and sell the most amazing tights and chub rub shorts! I love their tights as not only are the super soft they actually fit my short legs properly without scrunching at the ankles! The chub rub short have also been a game changer over the last few weeks with the sun being out I’ve been able to wear skirts and dresses without having to worry!

I Weigh with Jameela Jamel Podcast

This podcast has been a really help for me this month when I’ve been struggling with my body image. Each episode is an interview with inspiring women including Demi Lovato and Reese Witherspoon about their achievements and struggles in life rather than focusing on how they look.

What have you been loving this month? Let me know in the comment below.
