Autumn Week: What I Love About Autumn

In case you haven’t heard the news…. its Autumn! Woohoo! Autumn is my favourite season of the year so to celebrate this week is going to be focused on Autumn! Today I am going to share with you What I Love About Autumn.

Cosy Nights In

With the darker evening drawing in it is the perfect opportunity to watch a movie. I would recommend Parent Trap for a laugh and a maybe a bit of a cry, or Beauty and the Beast for a good sing along! To really top off my cosy evenings in I have a cup of tea with a cupcake *cough cough* why not check out my Autumn Cupcake recipe *cough cough* 😉 .

If I really feel like pushing the boat out I love to have a pamper session! I start off with a hair mask (at the moment  I am loving the Argan Oil Hydrating hair mask, which makes my hair so soft) and facemask (I am currently loving the Derma V10 Clay Mask with Eucalyptus face mask which leaves my skin feeling cleansed and super smooth). I will then sit and either watch Gilmore Girls or read a good book! I then hop in the shower wash out both the hair mask and face mask before towel drying and apply moisturiser (normally the Soap & Glory one featured in my favourites).

I also love to light a few candles as not only do they look stunning in the dim lighting and of course the smell!

Thanks to the cooler evenings, I can get a good night sleep without boiling!

Delicious cinnamon everywhere, in cakes, in drinks and candles! I am currently loving Costa’s Bonfire Latte and Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte. In our lovely studio flat baking in the summer is almost impossible as the oven overheats the whole flat but in the autumn is perfect, so expect alot more baking in my blog posts!

Firstly I love all the autumn colours, from the green, navy, red and of course my favourite colour purple which inspires my fashion and beauty choices. I also adore wearing boots, pinafore dresses, checked shirts and jumpers.

Pinafore Dresses from Left to Right Black Denim with Tortoise Shell Buttons from Primark, Denim with Tortoise Shell Buttons from TU by Sainsbury’s and Black Cross Back Skater Style from Boohoo.
Checked Shirts from left to right, Shirt with embroidery detail from Nutmeg in Morrisons, Mustard Shirt with Silver thread from TU by Sainsbury’s and Grey and Peach Shirt from Primark.
Ankle boots from M&S wide fit range and Calf Length Boots from Shoe Zone.

Of course, how can we forget the wonder of hand cream! Not only does it stop your hands from cracking it is also a mini pamper session during the day. I am currently loving Soap & Glory’s Hand Food and The Body Shop Pumpkin Spice and Vanilla Hand Cream.

I also love to wear autumnal nail polishes and lip products. See my favourites in the photos below.

Rimmel Matte Lipstick in 610 High Flyer and Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lipgloss in Plumsup

Nothing beats the bold and beautiful leaves in autumn which not only looks spectacular but is great fun to kick around when they fall to the ground.

One of the many beautiful autumn trees in Kew Gardens.

I love the crisp sound the leaves make when you kick them, it also brings out my inner child! Again realising the inner child I also love to hunt for conkers and chestnuts! I did this a lot during my day out at Kew Gardens which you can read more about here.

Hope you enjoyed finding out your favourite things about autumn. What is your favourite thing about autumn, let me know in the comments below?
