How I started blogging
I started this blog three months ago as a year out of university I felt a little lost. My friends are now spread across the country and even though we keep in touch it is difficult to see each other often. I had moved to London, so was getting used to living in a city which completely different from the small town I grew up in. I also felt I was lacking a hobby in my life as at university I was always busy doing something!
I have always enjoyed creative writing, often writing short stories and diaries when I was younger. Though I have tried blogging previously when I was in my early teens but was never sure what to write about then!
Now I blog about Days Out, Book Reviews, Product Reviews and Baking! I enjoy the opportunity to be creative and be part of the blogging community. Blogging also helps to provide my life with some structure and a goal to work towards.
Two pieces of advice
Find a schedule that works for you but don’t beat yourself up if you don’t stick to it. I aim to post every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I also post at the weekend if I feel inspired. This allows me to clearly plan out my blog posts and allows time to create quality blog posts.
Don’t forget to be in the moment. Sometimes when I taking photos for my Day Out post’s it’s easy to get swept up in taking the photos. It is important to remember to actually enjoy where you are so put your camera away for a little while. It also is easier to write about something you actually experienced!
