Day out

Day Out: Alexandra Palace Park

Hello and Welcome Back! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter Weekend. In the UK we had beautiful sunny weather. On Saturday I decided to make the most of the lovely weather and go for a walk round Alexandra Palace Park. This park is in North London a short bus ride for my house.

I could sense the excitement in the air as a result of the UK experiencing sunny weather. The park was full of people, most of them sunbathing but some playing golf and cricket.

The photographs below are of Alexandra Palace which used to be used by the BBC. It is an impressive building with stunning stain glass windows and detailed brickwork.

Obviously, there where lots of trees! It is one of those parts of London which makes you forget you are actually in London. If you know what I mean! There were clear foots paths and some off road paths.

You know it is Summer when the daisies are here! Did anyone else used to spend their lunch time making daisy chains at school?

Below is a lone Christmas tree. I wonder how it got there!

I was feeling adventurous so decided to walk on an off road path! It was wonderful in the shade. I like the sunshine but I’m not a fan of the heat!

I saw quite a few planes flying over the park. I managed to catch a photo of this one.

I thought this tree looked interesting as it was all squiggly wiggly! My Dad paints trees so on family walks he used to take photos of interesting trees. I seem to have caught that habit!

There was a great view of London from the top of the hill, you can just about make out Canary Wharf in the distance.

So there you go! That was my time in Alexandra Palace Park. It was nice to go for a stroll around the park and great to know it is near by. I would love to hear what your favourite park is in London?
