February 2019 Favourites

Hello and Welcome Back! The end of February is fast approaching, which I can’t quite believe. It really has just flown by! Anyway, Spring is just around the corner but for now its time for me to share with you my February Favourites.

Larabar in Peanut Butter Choc Chip and Banana Choc Chip (£3 for 3)

These have been a new discovery for me this month and I love them. They are similar to the Nak’d bars but crunchier. With chocolate chunks they are the perfect sweet treat. The Peanut Butter Choc Chip reminds me of Snickers and the Banana Choc Chip tastes like banana milkshake with chocolate. So what is not to love!

Love Me and Let Me Go by Ashley Tisdale

Most people my age will know Ashley Tisdale for her role as Sharpay in High School Musical (over 10 years ago now which is crazy!). Anyway the first time I listened to her latest song Love Me and Let Me Go,I was hooked! The song is powerful like a ballad but makes you want to dance as well. I have had this song on repeat all month. It so strong and powerful. I can’t wait for the rest of her album to be released.

breathin’ by Ariana Grande

Now I know breathin’ isn’t new but I have recently fallen in love with it. I think much like Love Me and Let Me Go, it is a powerful ballad that you can dance too. I also find it motivating if I ever feel overwhelmed.

The Big Bang Theory

My boyfriend and I have recently started watching The Big Bang Theory from the start. We have both seen all of them before (apart from the lastest season so no spoilers!!). It has been really interesting to rewatch and see how the characters developed. We both love it so much that even my Valentines Day card from him was TBBT related!

Recently I have struggled to get into reading so I decided to turn to Audiobooks. I listen to Wilde Like Me on Audible. I also discovered Spooks which allows you to discover free Audiobooks on Spotify. I listened to Notes on a Nervous Planet by Matt Haig. I even wrote a blog post called How to Fall in Love with Reading, which included how Audiobooks helped me.

This month I have fallen back in love with painting my nails so I have a few favourite nail polishes this month.

Skinny Dip Nail Polish

This nail polish doesn’t have a name from what I can see but it was in their Christmas gift set. It is the perfect pearly pink colour adding a subtle sheer colour to your nails.

Barry M Molten Metals Holographic Flare and Pink Luxe (£3.99)

Holographic Flare looks a sparkly green in the bottle but when you look at it in the light you can see the holographic glitter. Pink Luxe is a mix of pink and gold glitter giving a rose gold effect. It’s the kind of nail polish that means you cant stop staring at your nails!

Sally Hanson Insta-Dri Top Coat (£5.99)

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri has helped me to fall in love with nail polishes. It helps my nail polish to dry quickly (who has time to sit around doing nothing for hours!) and helps to maintain my nail polish. I really don’t know what I would do without this top coat now.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Canes (£6)

I wore this NYX Lip Cream to Jesey prelaunch event and instantly fell in love with it! Not only does the slightly reddish brown tone suite my complexion and make my eye look greener. It stayed on my lips through eating and drinking and didn’t dry them out! What more could a girl want!?

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Honey (£7.99)

Now does anyone else remember Revlon Balm Stain in Honey was really popular thanks to Essie Button (now known as Estee Lalonde) on YouTube. That is really old school YouTube! Anyway, I recently rediscover it in Superdrug and had to buy it. I have been loving it ever since!

It is a unique colour as it is purple but yet still neutral. Making it the perfect everyday colour as we transition from Winter to Spring. It feels nourishing on the lips and is easy to apply.

BarryM Crushed Jewel Cream Eyeshadows (£4.99)

I recently discovered these in Boots and included them in my latest High Street Haul post. I have worn them everyday (that I wear make up!). The add the perfect wash of colour or the perfect base of eyeshadow.

So that is it for my February Favourites. A mixed bag this month! What have you been loving? Let me know in the comments below.
