Poundland Haul January 2019

Hello and Welcome back! We are all a bit tight for cash in January after Christmas and potentially splurging on the Christmas Sales. I was visiting my parents and though this sounds a bit sad, I really love the Poundland in St Ives. I always find some great bargains there. So to treat myself I headed in and pick up a few bits and bobs. What a British thing to say!

Hauls can feel like you are bragging but can you really brag about what you brought from Poundland. Anywhere here is what I got!

Maybelline Matte Lipstick in Purely Nude 981

I can’t resist a make up bargain. I like that this nude lipstick has an orange tone rather than a pink tone as that suites my complexion. This nude maybe slightly to pale for me but with a lipgloss on top will be perfect.

Maybelline Matte Lipstick in Blushing Pout 942

I love wearing this sort of blush colour lipstick as it makes my eyes look greener!

Bourjois Rouge Edition AQUA Laque in 02 Rose on the Rocks.

Again a similar blush colour which I think will compliment the Maybelline Blushing Pout Lipstick well.

N.B. I wore both together for the meal out with my parents and it looked lovely. If I do say so myself!

w7 Dream Draw Liner in Medium/Deep

I wanted to get a nude eyeliner to wear on my waterline to make eyes appear more awake with my early starts at work. I like how this one isn’t to pinky making it much more subtle.

Max & More Mascara with Argan Oil.

My family, partner and I are going out to eat tonight and I wanted to wear some make up. I forgot my make up bag so I thought I would get a mascara to go with my lipsticks.

N.B I used this mascara for the meal out and I was impressive with the volume I achieved from the mascara.

Citrus Herb Fragrance Mist

Now this clearly is a dupe of the Jo Malone fragrances. This smells citrusy (surprise!) with an underlying earthy smell. They also had matching one and three wick candles. I was very tempted but as I have to carry them back to London I resisted. This is also vegan and cruelty free.

Elysium Spa Epsom Salts

I thought this was a bargain at £1 for 500g. In my current job I am on my feet all day so my joints and muscles can feel a bit sore. Wow, doesn’t that make me sound old! Anyway I thought adding these into my bath might help.

Felt Peg Board

This was only £2 not bad for a peg board. I thought this would be perfect for blogging. I know there is some controversy over Poundland selling items above a pound but as its less than a fiver I’m ok with it!

Pearls and Diamonds

I found these in the wedding section but thought they would be perfect for jazzing up blog photos. As shown in the photos in this post.

Bus Tree Ornimant

This was only 25p in the sale and thought it would go with our other London Transport themed Christmas Decorations next year!

So that is everything. I feel like I got some great bargains! I do love a good Poundland haul. If you have one on your blog please share it with me.

Love,
