Hello and Welcome Back! Today’s post is an exciting one. I was recently nominated by lovely Emily from the wonderful blog, emilygabriella.co.uk for the Versatile Blogger Award. I am so thrilled that Emily nominated me for the award. As not only is it amazing to be recognised, Emily is a wonderful blogger and I really enjoy reading her blog. Making it mean that much more. So thank you Emily!
The Versatile Blogger Award is a fantastic opportunity to discover new bloggers as everyone who is nominated also nominates bloggers they also think deserves recognition. Something which I will of course do at the end of this post.
As part of the nomination you also have to share Seven Facts about yourself. Hopefully, you will get to know me better and probably have a laugh too. So lets get started.
I studied Psychology and Human Resource Management (Bsc Hons) at Keele University. I have always and still am fascinated by how our minds and brains work and the whole nature/nurture debate. I also found Human Resource Management really interesting as it covered, law, pay, performance, engagement and so much more.
As most people don’t know where Keele is, it is in Staffordshire, about an hour from Manchester. It is a beautiful university with the largest campus in the UK filled with fields, forests and old buildings. I graduated in 2017, which despite only being 2 years ago feels like a life time ago!
A childhood story for you now. When I was 4 or 5 as a “Magic Trick” I shoved a button up my nose. However I sniffed and got it lodged in my nose!! I had to go to hospital to have it removed. It makes me and my family laugh now. To this day I don’t know why I thought sticking a button up your nose was a magic trick!!
I was incredibly lucky and got to go to South Africa on a school trip. We went to Johannesburg, Soweto and Kruger National Park. It was an incredible trip with amazing weather! I got to see wild animals, including elephants and cheaters. We also went to visit Nelson Mandela’s house, which was fascinating. The best part, for me, was going to visit a school which we donated sports equipment too. It was so sweet as all the children were fascinated with my hair!
Despite living in London, I feel most at home in the countryside or in small towns. This is most likely because I grew up in a small town and went to Keele University also in a small town. I think its the sense of community and being so close to nature that makes me feel so relaxed.
Another childhood story for you! My Dad told me that when I was about 2 or 3 I used to pick twigs off the ground and try and stick them back onto the tree. Now that is adorable! It also may of been the first sign that I like to be tidy and organised!
I am one of two children. I am the eldest, my sister is younger than me by only three years. Me and her are different in so many ways but she never fails to make me smile! We often have days out together which I really love. I can’t imagine not having her in my life.
My favourite Disney movie is Beauty and the Beast. Both the original and the new movie. I love the music, Belles character (I related to her being a book work!) and of course, her yellow dress. What is your favourite Disney movie?
Now time for my nominations for the Versatile Blogger Award. All these bloggers inspire me so I can’t wait to share them with you. *Drum Roll Please*
